POSITION DESCRIPTION: Operations Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director, oversees and supervises daily transit operations for fixed-route and Dial-A-Ride vans and supervision of bus operators.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Supervision of operators.
- Oversee scheduling of scheduling assignments for operators.
- Call-in relief operators.
- Coordinate needed repairs with maintenance.
- Resolve on-route problems.
- Training of operators at hire and refresher.
- Participates in the selection of transit operators.
- Investigate transit related complaints and accidents.
- Respond to emergency field situations by conducting investigations, take picture, assist passengers, interview with local law authority.
- Resolve minor grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Assists in route scheduling.
- May perform backup driving duties of passenger vehicles in absence of an operator or in emergencies.
- Maintain effective supervisory relationships.
- Other assignments as directed.
- Work location will be at both facilities, Raymond and Seaview; days and times depends on what is needed, sometimes both same day.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License at time of hire.
- Class A or B CDL; with passenger P1, and air brake restriction removed endorsements or be able to obtain one within 30 days of appointment of position.
- Submission of a five year driving record abstract, available at the Department of Licensing, along with the application.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Work effectively with other employees.
- Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Lifting in excess of 50 pounds may be required.
- Must be willing to work after hours, evenings and weekends.
- Must pass a post-offer DOT physical if not current.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Position is subject to further random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- 40 hours per week; possibility on call after hours, evenings, and weekends.
- Salary wage of $60,000 - $64,000, depending on qualifications.
