Primary responsibilities of the position: (1) Assist with the post-award administration and management of grants and contracts awarded to the University from federal, state, local government and private sources. (2) Prepare, review and submit financial reports as needed. (3) Coordinate and assist with the documentation of post-award systems, processes and procedures, and in developing various reporting and/or compliance forms. (4) Perform and assist in testing and development of various systems impacting the Office of Grant and Research Development (OGRD). (5) Maintain expertise in federal and state laws and policies to ensure regulatory compliance. (6) Supervise Grant Project Funding Manager(s) and support OGRD.
The Assistant Director of Post-Award Administration must possess the following attributes: • Supervisory experience; good interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work as part of a team • Capability to make decisions with a high level of initiative and judgment • Ability to maintain a broad network of internal working relationships • Possess up-to-date knowledge of university policies and procedures and federal, state, agency/sponsor regulations, laws, and guidelines • Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time and to meet deadlines • Implement a proactive approach to tasks assigned.
